So does the phoenix in his locket "provide" its fire based magic for him to use fire (in consideration to the fact that phoenixes are often associated with fire) or does it enhance his own magical ability so he can use fire?
I sincerely hope that we, as the viewers/watchers get to see more depth to Alex's characters than we were allowed to in AATR2. If anything, I still can't believe that he's supposed to be only about one inch shorter than I am. He looks way shorter than that.
